Have you heard of powder coating? Do you know how it works? Does it make sense for you to use it? We’d like you to consider powdercoating for things you decorate your house with, things you’d like to attach to your car, or things you wish could stand up better and longer to the weather outside, because powdercoating is superior to painting in many of these applications.
This baking process is one of the most important reasons why powdercoating beats painting in many respects. The pigment powder flows when heated and forms a more uniform and solid coat on the surface. And because the whole work piece is being heated WITH the applied powder, there is a better bond between the pigment and the surface. In other words, powdercoating is less likely to result in pinholes (which are tiny openings through which corrosion can begin) or flaking (which, in addition to allowing corrosion on larger areas, also mars the look of the piece).
